Jag da maalak yaad hove tan dukh vi denda dukh nahin;
Jag da maalak yaad hove tan rehndi koi bhukh nahin. Jag da maalak yaad hove tan hunda har kamm poora ey; Jag da maalak yaad hove tan kaayar banda soora ey. Jag da maalak yaad hove tan maut dab bhaye mit janda ey; Kahe avtar gyaan de bajhon maalak yaad na aanda ey. |

If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, even pain does not give pain;
If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, no want does remain there; If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, every task stands accomplished; If one remembers God, the supreme Lord of the universe, even a coward becomes valiant; If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, the fear of death remains no more there; Avtar says, without attaining divine knowledge, one just cannot remember God. |
Meaning
If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, even sorrow does not give pain. If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, no hunger does remain there. If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, every task stands accomplished. If one remembers God, the supreme Lord of the universe, even a person who finds it difficult to stand by the uneasy situation becomes courageous. If one remembers God, the Supreme Lord of the universe, the fear of death vanishes. Baba Avtar Singh ji says, without attaining divine knowledge, one just cannot remember God.
